Dune Dog is not just a staple in Jupiter; it is a must-visit! While the location isn’t waterfront in a waterfront town, the experience is truly something to talk about. Prepare for your visit to Dune Dog–the lines to get in are usually quite long. Don’t worry, they have benches outside to wait on and water to keep you hydrated during your wait. You can always run into the bar area and order an ice-cold beer while you wait.

Once your name is called, you’ll be seated at a picnic table, giving you a rustic, old-town Jupiter feel. Now, let’s explore the menu. The fried clams are a MUST–so delicious. Their steamed clams in beer and onion have changed the way I prepare clams at home; they’re that good! My husband’s go-to is the Sea Dog, two fried fish filets on individual buns with tartar sauce, cheese, tomatoes, and onions. They are fantastic. As a New Yorker, I love a hot dog with kraut and mustard. I don’t know why I can’t prepare a hot dog the way they do, but theirs are superb.
